CLEAN OUR WATERWAYS

As County Executive, one of the first actions I will take is continuing to seek permits, funding and contracts to clean, dredge and maintain every troublesome foot of waterway in Humphreys County. I will work with TDEC, County Commissioners, and other state and federal authorities to assist farmers and landowners with permitting for land reclamation and erosion control.

Working through the troubles with our waterways should also include semi-permanent vehicle crossing where our county roads have failed and bridges are closed. No one should have to worry about the current temporary crossings being open or closed or flooded. We must provide waterway crossings to our citizens that are reliable and safe.
