Caring for our Neighbors

As the flood waters fell and storms clouds rolled, life outside many of our impacted communities has moved on. It is human nature to always look to the newest disaster as the most critical. We must always remember those left holding the scars of any natural disaster. Since August we have seen neighbor helping neighbor regardless of color or creed or religion. As County Executive I hope to keep this spirit alive. Together we can build our communities in memory of those we have lost. Let us seize this moment in order to build communities we can all be proud of, so that those lost were not in vain.
